To join a Ride and Fire expedition, Comprehensive Travel Insurance is mandatory. We will check your policy documents at the pre-ride briefing. No Insurance = No Ride.
Required Coverage Specs
Your policy MUST explicitly include the following:
- Motorcycling as an Activity: It must cover riding a motorcycle of 500cc or higher. (Warning: Many standard policies exclude bikes over 250cc. Check the fine print.)
- High Altitude: Coverage for travel up to 5,600 meters (18,300 ft).
- Medical Evacuation: Minimum coverage of $100,000 USD for helicopter rescue and repatriation.
Recommended Providers
We recommend specialized providers such as Global Rescue, World Nomads (Explorer Plan), or Garmin SAR insurance.
