Effective Date: January 1, 2026
These terms and conditions govern the relationship between Ride and Fire (“The Operator”, based in Ladakh, India) and you (“The Participant”). By booking a slot, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Contract Formation
A binding contract is formed only when:
- A booking deposit (25% – 50%) is received.
- A “Confirmation Invoice” is issued by Ride and Fire.
We reserve the absolute right to decline any booking at our discretion.
2. Rider Eligibility
- License: Riders must possess a valid, full motorcycle license valid for 400cc+ motorcycles. Learners or provisional licenses are strictly prohibited.
- Age: Riders must be 18+. Pillions must be 12+.
- Medical Fitness: You must self-declare that you are fit for high-altitude travel (above 10,000 ft).
3. Payment Schedule
- Booking Deposit: 25% to 50% of the total tour cost (Non-refundable).
- Balance Payment: Due 30 days prior to the departure date.
- Late Bookings: Bookings made less than 30 days before departure require 100% payment upfront.
4. Security Deposit (The Bike)
Upon handover of the motorcycle, a refundable security deposit of ₹10,000 INR (or $150 USD) is required in cash or via card hold.
- Minor Damages: Deducted at cost (e.g., broken levers, mirrors, dents).
- Major Damage: In case of a crash, you are liable for Parts + Transport costs. Labor costs are waivered.
5. The “Ladakh Clause” (Itinerary Flexibility)
Important: The Himalayas are unpredictable. The itinerary provided is a statement of intent, not a contractual obligation.
In the event of road closures, landslides, military movement, or “Acts of God,” Ride and Fire reserves the right to alter the route or accommodation. We will provide the best possible alternative, but no refunds will be issued for changes caused by forces beyond our control.
6. Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising from this contract shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Leh, Ladakh.
